Messi ‘seriously considering’ return to Barcelona, says report
Another day has passed and Messi is far from renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, fueling rumors of his return to Barcelona. Reports from Gerard Romero earlier this week claimed the 35-year-old is keen to return to his former club and is unwilling to extend his contract with PSG.
These rumors have now been confirmed by RAC1, who claim that Messi is ‘seriously considering’ a return to Barcelona during the summer transfer window. He claims he is now much less likely to renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Leo Messi is seriously considering the possibility of returning to Barcelona next season, but he knows that it will be complicated financially.

The report said Messi initially had no plans to return as his departure was processed in 2021. He is said to be reconsidering the idea of returning to Catalonia now that his initial mood has turned.
The seventh Ballon d’Or was attracted to a move to Barca both professionally and personally. However, the Catalan’s financial fair play situation has made him aware that the trip back to Camp Nou will be difficult.
The aforementioned newspaper has learned from the club that the two sides have not yet opened negotiations. La Liga sources also say that the possibility of Messi returning to Barcelona hasn’t been completely ruled out. But the clubs need to make a lot of money in addition to cutting wages to support such an operation.
Barcelona is looking for answers to questions in the background. At the same time, many teammates have been praying for Messi’s return, and coach Xavi Hernandez also intends to let Messi back into the team.
