Fans became enraged and aggressively abused the former Indian captain as they saw the team laughing and talking while Kohli was eating.

The barrage of expectations from the cricket community and the fans never leaves Virat Kohli. The numerous records he has broken over his great career are something he has earned, making him the best candidate to surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s impressive records.

Additionally, criticism always follows expectation. As it did on Thursday following his dismissal in the WTC Final match against Australia at The Oval, it can occasionally turn cruel and weird. Kohli later responded with a mysterious Instagram message.

King Kohli was anticipated to restart India’s batting following the fast dismissals of the openers in the WTC Final after advancing on the strength of two straight IPL tonnes and up against his favourite foe, Australia. Prior to being frightened by a Mitchell Starc delivery that was so powerful that it even left Kohli in disbelief, the Indian captain had shown a lot of promise. He quit the game after making just 14 out of 31, which put India in trouble as the top order collapsed for just 71 runs in 18.2 overs.

The camera briefly panned towards the  Indian dressing room as Ravindra Jadeja andAjinkya Rahane attempted to forge a brave  partnership to mount a comeback.

Kohli was seen eating while speaking with  Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, and batting  coach Vikram Rathour. Fans became enraged and aggressively abused the former Indian captain as they saw the team laughing and talking while Kohli  was eating.

In fact, a fan whose tweet received the most likes tweeted: “Tendulkar didnt eat for 3 days after he got out early in that 2003 WC final. Meanwhile Kohli after getting out early in #WTCFinal2023”.

On Friday, Kohli shared an Instagram story responding to his trolls before the start of Day 3 at The Oval. In order to break free from the prison of other people’s opinions, you must learn to dislike people, according to the post.

With their 73-run partnership, Jadeja and Rahane attempted to mount a comeback, but when Nathan Lyon dismissed the former at the end of Day 2, the Indian team’s hopes were dashed. After two days of competition in London, Australia remained in first place.
