Argentina defeated the Vatreni 3-0 in the semifinals, with Messi scoring a goal and setting up Julian Alvarez with an outstanding assist. After coming through half-time and spinning inside Gvardiol, the 35-year-old passed the ball past Alvarez to score the Argentine’s third goal as he sprinted towards the touchline.
